  • Form IX – nomination of a person by the company along with the board resolution
  • NOC and a copy of the license from the manufacturer are mandatory for repackers only 
  • Ministry of Commerce certificate for 100% EOU
  • NOC/PA Document issued by FSSAI 
  • IE code document issued by DGPT 
  • Supporting document for turnover proof 
  • Source of raw materials for meat and meat processing units
  • Certification from the ministry of tourism 
  • Source of milk or procurement plan for milk including the location of milk collection centers 
  • Layout plan of the processing unit showing the dimensions in square meter/ meter ( mandatory for manufacturing and processing units only  ) 
  •  List of directors, proprietors, and executive members of society or   trust with full detail
  •  Name and list of all the equipment and machines along with numbers installed capacity and horsepower
  •  Food safety and management plan
  •  For transporters-supporting document proof of turnover or self-declaration of numbers of vehicles 
  • Copy of certificate obtained under COOP-ACT, 1861/multistate COOP-ACT, 2002 in case of cooperatives

What is the Fee for FSSAI Central License

The Government fees for FSSAI Central License is INR 7500/- only. Additionally 18% GST is also applicable on it.

Renewal & Validity of FSSAI Central License

The registration issued by FSSAI is valid for a period of 1 to 5 years, depending on the choice made by the food business operator. The fees for FSSAI registration vary based on the duration selected.

Food business operators holding an FSSAI Food Certificate must apply for the renewal of their license at least 180 days before the expiration date to avoid incurring any late fees. Breakdown of FSSAI Late renewal fee 

  • If the renewal is initiated 30 days before the due date then 100₹ per day shall be charged by FSSAI.
  • If the renewal is initiated 1st to 90th day after the due date then 3 times of annual renewal fee shall be charged by FSSAI.
  • If the renewal is initiated after the 91st day of the due date then 5 times of annual renewal fee shall be charged by FSSAI.

Note:- 180 days after the due date the renewal windows for FSSAI Central License will be closed.
